Dear Messer’s Clough,

I write today on behalf of the Greens to ask that you suspend your financial interests in Burma.

As you are aware financial pressure can be extremely influential in
achieving change. As such, I ask that you use your influence, through
the Clough financed company Twinza Oil, to increase the pressure on the
Burmese military to end the violence and restore democracy.

The last stand for democracy in Burma was in 1988 and it was crushed by
the dictatorship as the world watched.

This must not be allowed to
happen again. You can be a part of the democratic revolution in Burma,
or you could be seen as complicit in the oppression of peaceful people.

We ask that you seize the opportunity to take leadership at this time in history.
