The Australian Greens have been working with local government, industry and transport planners to create a bold plan for a major upgrade to Perth's public transport system.
At its heart is a light rail network that links the major train lines and provides greatly improved services along Perth's high frequency routes, while freeing up buses to provide additional services within the suburbs.
Light rail extensions are currently under construction in Adelaide and the Gold Coast, and under active consideration in Sydney and Melbourne.
It is time light rail came to Perth.
