Do you have figures for either Port Hedland - Port and South (either together or disaggregated), and for Karratha and Dampier?

Answer:

The following table shows the number of income units (singles, couples and families entitled to income support payments and/or more than the base rate of FTB Part A) living in public housing in Port Hedland and Roebourne (includes both Karratha and Dampier), from 2008 to 2010.

Data providing broader information about public housing in these areas, including those dwellings occupied by people not entitled to income support payments and/or more than the base rate of FTB Part A, is not collected but may be accessed from the Western Australian Government.

(1) An income unit comprises a single person (with or without dependent children) or a couple (with or without dependent children). Single social security recipients living together in the same household are regarded as separate income units. Population are those where at least one member of an income unit is entitled to an income support payment or is paid at more than the base rate of Family Tax Benefit Part A. (2) Australian Bureau of Statistics - Statistical Local Areas. (3) Relates to an income unit's circumstances for one fortnight in a quarter.
