The Australian Greens have welcomed major findings of a report released today by the Joint Standing Committee on Treaties following an inquiry into nuclear weapon non-proliferation and disarmament.

“Australia  is now poised to play a key role in coming negotiations on the abolition of nuclear weapons, should the Rudd Government accept the recommendations of the JSCOT report tabled today,” the Greens’ Nuclear Spokesperson Senator Scott Ludlam said.
